Outside My Window

When I look outside my window,

I see this hill.

Behind a beautiful pasture,

My soul it stills.

I see it now,

Amid the rain and thunder.

For a life elsewhere,

I do not hunger.

The fog rolls in,

And blankets the trees.

I hear it speak

Through the falling leaves.

The storms always pass,

The sun shines through,

This is where

I’ll bid you adieu.”

  1. Beautiful pictures! All those years living down there and never thought of attempting that. Now I must! Do I need to book this with the little trail guide? Did you carve her name and date in a tree somewhere up there? We are looking forward to your visit!

    • Thank you! If you book with the little trail guide, there’s no telling where you’ll end up! ha Her usual spot of choice is a pile of manure. We’re looking forward to it, too! Just hope Peanut doesn’t continue her current sleep pattern for long. 4:30 every morning is rough! I’m a morning person, but not THAT much of one…
