Hi! Welcome to the daily chronicles of my life! I’m a city girl with a finance degree who married (unknowingly, at the time) a dairy farmer. Although I set out after graduation to conquer the banking world, I ended up in the hard-knocks school of dairy farming and raising a baby. Wow! Not at all what I was expecting. (I’m certain God was having a good chuckle while I was making all my ill-fated corporate plans and buying my BCBG heels and trying to own everything Express ever came out with). But, I couldn’t be happier and I look forward to what the future holds and I thought, Hey, why not write about the transition? So, here ya go! Hope you find it all as amusing as I do!

Meanwhile, if you would like to read the  long story of how I ended up here, click here: http://wp.me/p1lzEK-6l (How I “Unknowingly” Married a Dairy Farmer, Part 1)

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog and looks like you are doing a great job of sharing your dairy story here. Working with dairy cows isn’t one of my strong suits so I always learn something from the posts. Keep it up!

  2. What a great idea for a blog, and I can’t wait to keep up with your story- as I’m the flip side of this story. I grew up on a farm and am now in the middle of the city, with a husband who will never ever be a farmer. Sigh. I am really happy though, so it all works out doesn’t it? -kate

    • Thank you so much for stopping by! You’re right, it all absolutely works out! Never thought I would be happy in the country, but I am, surprisingly. If I’m where my husband is, I’m happy. He does his best to make it fun. And city life has it’s advantages, don’t ya think?

    • I unknowingly married a future farmer. He’s the fourth generation of his family to work it. When I married him, he had no interest in taking it over even though he loved working on the farm when he could. A turn of events in our lives was the beginning of him thinking that he might be up for having a go at it after all. Thanks for stopping by!
